Designed for the Scania Next Generation range from 2017 onwards, this tool enables controlled removal of the Pitman arm/steering rod ball joint without disassembly of surrounding components. The vehicle’s wheels are turned 70–90% to the right to provide access from underneath. This eliminates the need for blows or prying that could damage the steering gear.
The kit includes an 8.5 ton hydraulic cylinder that pushes the ball joint free via a conical press plate inside a support housing. It offers a safe and efficient solution where tight clearances make other tools impractical without major dismantling of cab steps or surrounding ancillaries.
Supplied with a full press kit and safety strap, the tool is ready to use straight out of the box.
