This comprehensive set is designed for the removal of seized or broken glow plugs where the drive hex shears off, this universal kit allows safe, on-vehicle extraction without the need to remove or replace the cylinder head.
The process involves removing the centre electrode, drilling out the glow plug’s thread to its root diameter, and cutting a pull thread into the remaining body. The glow plug is then extracted using a spindle. The cylinder head thread remains undamaged. A final operation cleans the fastening thread and bore.
