This universal adjustable press tool and plate set is designed for controlled support during pressing operations on a workshop press or directly on the vehicle and forms the core support unit within the complete press plate set. The twist operated base adjusts all support legs simultaneously from 68 mm to 95 mm, allowing quick setup across a wide range of wheel bearings, hubs and suspension components, while the sliding legs can be positioned to suit irregular housings and uneven contact areas.
Used alongside the press plates and spacer sleeves supplied in the set, the tool provides stable and evenly distributed load support during removal and installation. The manual installation mandrel can be used with both inner and outer press plates to guide bearings squarely into position, reducing the risk of misalignment. This guided setup is also suitable for pressing in seals, where a central guide can be used to keep the seal square and prevent distortion during installation.
