This specialist drill guide set is designed for situations where the injector clamp bolt has seized into the cylinder head and risks breaking under additional torque. The guide fits securely over the head of the bolt, enabling accurate drilling to remove the bolt head and expose the shank. This allows the technician to remove both the injector clamp and the injector without damaging surrounding components.
Once the shank is accessible, the supplied die and holder are used to cut a new thread directly into the remaining bolt shank, effectively also available separately). This approach significantly reduces repair time compared to conventional broken bolt removal methods and eliminates the need to remove the cylinder head.
Suitable for M8 injector clamp bolts (SOFIM engines).
