This set allows the rear wheel bearing to be replaced directly on the vehicle without the need to dismantle suspension or other components. The original bearing is a 92 mm Generation 2 type without a central hole, which prevents the use of conventional wheel bearing kits that rely on threaded spindles passing through the centre of the bearing.
The system uses a front mounting attachment together with dismount legs and an 18 or 22 ton hydraulic cylinder (cylinder not included) to extract the complete bearing. The new bearing, supplied with a central drive shaft hole, is then installed using the installation legs and spacers operated by the hydraulic cylinder. All work is carried out on the vehicle, avoiding removal of suspension parts or ABS sensors, and greatly reducing workshop time.
This set can be expanded with additional parts to handle other sizes of Generation 2 wheel bearings. Add-on kits are also available for Generation 1, Generation 3, and Land Rover Range Rover wheel bearings.
